Maith Lá Sibh

Leonie and I decided to vist Éire (Ireland). It would've been remiss of us to not visit the "Emerald Isle" before leaving England.

We spent a lovely week in Ireland. The people were very friendly, the country is truly lovely to look at and the Guinness was good.

Ireland is a truly facinating place to visit. From craggy coastlines to beautiful rolling green hills. We wished we had more time to spend there and Ireland is definitely on our list of places to re-visit.

We did our own self-driving tour of Ireland. We had to drive from London through Wales to get to Fishguard to get the ferry to Rosslare. We then drove down to Waterford from Rosslare for the night at our B&B. As we mentioned before the people are very friendly and we had a nice meal at one of the local pub's in Waterford. We were entertained by a local guy who I'm sure thought he was Bob Dylan. Very interesting!

The next day we were off to see the Waterford Crystal Factory. This is a must do tour if you're the slightest bit interested in how they perform the glass cutting and blowing. (See picture above). Of course Leonie was very interested in a purchase of some kind from the factory and we came away with a very nice vase.
